Stella's First Wednesday

We are happy to report that the doctors have reintroduced food to Stella again. Her symptoms of NEC (three very long, unintelligible words) have regressed which is excellent news. NEC is not something that we would care to deal with. It has to do with the stomach rejecting food. Although the risks exists for it to return, she is back on track! She also gained a few ounces today so she's back to 2 lbs 3 oz., almost her birth weight.


They put a PIC line in her tonight for them to give her additional nutrients. It was a pretty intense procedure to see done on such a little tiny baby, but the Nurse Practitioner that put it in Stella did a wonderful job.

Tawni and Jason are getting some much needed rest tonight and Grandma Olson, Stella says she loves you and hopes you get well so you can come to see her again soon!
