A New Day...

I plaguerized some photos from Tawni's blog today as I didn't have a chance to visit them over the weekend. While Tawni worked on a project, Stella and Jason napped. He is so good with this little girl.Tawni updated her blog and this is the new header. I just love this little picture of Stella with her flapper hat on. The hat was a gift from Jamie and her Mom Mickey and it is adorable!

Cortney and his friend Channing have been running all over Utah for the last week. Actually, Channing arrived from Maine last week and the fun started in Vegas. Cort's friend Ryan who also used to live in Maine, now lives in Vegas so they kicked off Channing arrival with a "what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas" weekend. On Tuesday night they went up to Salt Lake to ski. They skied Brighton first and then Snowbird. Channing was amazed by the mountains. He actually found them "scary" he said. Fresh powder, out-of-bounds skiing, and bargain hotel prices made this leg of their trip fantastic. They came back to St George Friday night and Ryan, his girlfriend Uralia (also from Maine originally) and another friend Jackie came here for the weekend. I bailed and went to Vickie and Tom's house for movie night and a sleepover. The kids got up Saturday morning and went up to Zions National Park. They rented a lodge at Zions Mountain Lodges which they said was AMAZING. They hiked Angel's Landing which is one of the most difficult hikes in Zions. Cort's friend Theresa tooks photos and will email me so I can share with you later. They came home today and Channing heads back to Maine tomorrow. He had so much fun and just loved it out here. He plans on returning next year unless he is able to actually find work with FedEx out here and move West. Cort said it was probably the single best week he has had in his life!

The construction on the townhome is moving right along. I've been watching the heating and airconditioning go in as well as all of the electrical. They told me yesterday that it may be done by the end of May. Whoo-hoo! I had originally planned to go for a walk this evening over to the house and take some more photos but a nice desert rainstorm developed so I've decided to stay inside and read. I'm reading two books right now, one for work called "Execution, The Discipline of Getting Things Done", and a book given to me by a friend called "Nature Girl". It is a perfect day for reading!

Have a good week! Love and Hugs!

Happy Easter!

My first babysitting job with Stella

Another milestone for me, Stella came to play at Grandma's house. Jason and Tawni had a job to do for a customer up the street so they dropped Stella and Brody off for us to play. The only request that Tawni had was that I try to keep Stella awake as much as possible so she would sleep well when they went home to bed. No problem I thought! I'll hug, kiss, pinch, sing and dance with her and she'll be wide awake! It worked for most of the time however when I layed her down for just a minute to get the grill started, she konked out on me! When she crashes, she crashes! I would try to wake her and her little eyes would just roll around in her head. It was so cute, and I felt so cruel trying to snap her out of it but finally after snuggling under her little chin and gobbling up her little neck she woke. Just in time I might add for her mom and dad to come in. Whew...I don't want to lose my babysitting priveledges, we had too much fun. As you can see, Brody the "older sibling" is very protective of Stella. In fact, if you look closely you'll see where he snuck a kiss from her before I could stop him!

Other notable things to watch for, Stella now has a double-chin!

Saturday with Stella

Jason, Stella and I spent Saturday afternoon together at their home in Coral Canyon. If you can tolerate the contents of a babies diaper, the video below is so funny. It is so Jason! We had a good time together and I look forward to doing it again soon.
Stella had to have some shots this week that tore Jason and Tawni UP! Jason said at first her little cries sounded cute and then he said they elevated to such a painful scream and when he looked at her she had real tears! He said that both he and Tawni were horrified to see her in such pain. It only lasted for a few minutes and then she was fine, but they now know that she has to go through this again in a few weeks and they are NOT looking forward to it AT ALL.

In addition to my time with Stella I had a good weekend. I went with a friend from work for Thai food on Friday night and tried several dishes and some sushi that I would never have tried on my own, they were awesome. He has Celiac Disease like me (an intolerance to Gluten) so he has done all the research already on what is "safe" for us to eat at the local restaurants. Many of you may not believe it, but I actually ate and enjoyed the vegetables! I even had dessert made with Mango and liked it too!

Today is overcast and a little rainy which is very unusual for St George, but a nice change up.

The condo is coming along, it still seems so far off! Cortneys friend Channing is coming from Maine and will be here this weekend. They plan to spend time in Vegas, St George and then off to Salt Lake for a few days of skiing and snowboarding. We are so excited for him to get here.

That's about it for my update. Thanks again to each of you that have sent things to Stella. She has some adorable outfits, hats, shoes/socks, and wonderful baby accessories. We all really appreciate your thoughtfulness!

WARNING! QUEASY VIDEO, BUT HILARIOUS!

BEFORE WATCHING THIS VIDEO: go to the bottom of the blog where the Music Player resides and click on the small "button" that pauses the music. It is near the top left corner of the radio diagram right before the forward and back arrows. This is so you can actually hear what Jason is saying so turn up your volume so you catch it all. This video is YouTube material if I've ever seen it!

Tawni had a baby shower to go to and she left Jason and Stella together. They both thought that Stella was done with her "serious diaper business". Stella did what babies do best, the unexpected!

A brief hello!

Entertaining all of these people is EXHAUSTING! I spotted these photos on Tawni's blog and just had to copy them here for you to enjoy. I hope to spend some quality time with Stella this weekend so watch for some new fun pic's following. They are still pretty much home-based until RSV season has passed. After that, I hope to report on different Stella sightings around town and out and about. I can't wait for some of you who live nearby to be able to actually see her in person.

Three Generations...

I could be wrong, but I think this might be the first photos of Jason, Tawni Stella and I that I've put on the blog. I love this little family! Tawni is such a good Mom and Jason knows he's the man to take care of all of them. Tawni gets up with Stella every 3 hours at night and often has to wake her up to feed her. She is just about 5 lbs now which is a little more than her Uncle Cortney weighed when he was born and a little less than her Dad weighed. She is really ramping up on the pounds!

Stella will be 2-months old this week. It's so hard to believe that 8-weeks ago we were so worried and scared about what her little future might hold. But, here we are with this little girl home and healthy! She is truly a blessing in our lives.

We haven't forgot you!

Wow! What a crazy week. With the NASCAR weekend we were running around like crazy fools. I have much more to share on that later, but if you needed your Stella fix as much as I needed mine, these pictures are for you! She home safe and sound in her Mom and Dads arms and is so adorable in pink! She weighs 4lbs 12 ozs now, is eating everything she is supposed to and sleeping a lot.
