People, Places and Things...

Once again I find that I have so much to share and so little time! I have had such a busy couple of weeks! Everything from casual walks with Stella in the neighborhood, to a weekend in Denver. I need to say to Olivia, my last HR Assistant while in Maine, CONGRATULATIONS for working so hard and showing how much you learned and how valuable you are to National Distributors! The person hired as my replacement, didn't work out and Jeff, the President is giving Olivia the opportunity to show him she can do the job. I know you can do it Liv! I'm here if you need anything!

Tonight I went for a walk along the golf course cart path and as I was coming back out to Coral Canyon Blvd I saw Jason driving by. He stopped and said he was taking Brody the dog to the park. I asked if I could go and I jumped in the passenger seat. I started telling him about this sweet email I got from Tawni today and as I was going on and on about what she said, he laughed and pointed to the back seat. There sat Tawni and Stella just laughing. It was too funny. Although we all lead our own lives here, living as close as we do, we often run into each other driving in and out of the subdivision. I love it.

Out for an evening stroll...

This is my friend Kelly Lennon that I stayed with in Denver. We had such a great time! We went to downtown Denver and visited some of the really fun places that people go on a Saturday night. My favorite was called Lime! which has the best Margaritas in Colorado! We then went to this neighborhood bikers bar called the The Emerald Isle to meet some of Kelly friends. It was a great weekend getaway and I can't wait to go back!

This is my friend Amber who lives here in St George. She is the Sales Manager for Hilton Garden Inn and I met her through work. She and I flew from Las Vegas to Denver together.

Stella's Grandpa Olson is now Bishop Olson!

What a special day it was today for all of us as we attended church together to see the announcement to the congregation that Tawni's Dad Dave was going to be their new Bishop. Dave is a great person and will be a wonderful Bishop for the church. Now that I live in Coral Canyon, he's actually my Bishop so he's already teasing me about finding my old church records and getting me to attend more often. Congrats Dave and Sharyl!

Jason and Tawni are on their special getaway weekend to Las Vegas and Stella is staying with Dave and Sharyl. They needed to go to a meeting tonight at church so they dropped Stella by to play with us. Her and her Uncle Cortney adore each other!

I just love to kiss her precious little feet!

Spinning, Stella, Old Friends Week

What a fun week it's been. I went to my first "Spin" class at the gym after alot of prompting from the girls I work with there. I have NEVER understood why people would subject themselves to it, but after doing it, I can see why. Although sidelined by a cramp in the ball of my right foot near the end, I held my own. I was told that because I tend to point my toes down instead of forward I got the cramp, so next time I'll focus on that. The lights were off in the room except for the blue light effect, the music was LOUD AC/CD, Def Leppard, etc, which really made you want to keep up to the music. The best part was I didn't fall off the bike or pass out, so I guess I'm headed back next week.

On Thursday night Tawni was at a church function and Jason and Stella were spending the evening together. He decided to invited Cortney and I to go over to watch a movie. Of course, I was much more interested in Stella than the movie so she and I hung out. We went for a walk outside and went around the block. Instead of putting her in her stroller, I carried her. We stopped and put our bare feet on the lawns we passed, she put her feet on the top of a fire hydrant and giggled, and we stopped and looked at every blooming flower along the way. She is so into sensory stimulation right now that it is a blast showing her new things. When we got back to her house, I sat her on my lap and she crashed, sound asleep and stayed that way until the movie ended and it was time for her Daddy to give her bath. It was so cute watching Jason get her all ready for her bath, even Cortney enjoyed watching it.

Today (Friday) I ran to meet the boys for lunch at the Mongolian BBQ, which, by the way, is an awesome place to eat, and when I got back to the office there was a Wheeler Machinery truck in the parking lot. For those of you who don't know, I worked for Wheeler in Salt Lake for about 9 years and Scott worked for them even longer. Many of the people there feel like extended family to us. Anyway, I entered the lobby and there stood Rocky Forman. Rocky was a salesman when we worked at Wheeler and an all around nice guy. He looked at me and said "I heard you were in town, but I had to see it with my own eyes"! We sat and visited for about an hour just catching up. He is now the General Manager of all of Southern Utah which includes Cedar City, Salina, Moab and St. George. We made plans to get together again and do more catching up. Rocky has always been a real nice guy and I am really excited that he took the time to look me up.

No big plans for the weekend, which is nice. I'll be watching Stella for about an hour Sunday afternoon. Jason and Tawni are going away on a special getaway for their anniversary starting Sunday and Sharyl is going to watch the baby. Dave, Tawni's Dad has recieved a new "calling" in their church and this Sunday, they make it official with the powers that be. Sharyl will be going with him so I'm watching Stella. Congrats Dave on your new position, you deserve it!

Lastly, an update on Cortney's arm. He says it feels like it is never going stop hurting, but I can tell by the way he carries himself that he is doing better. It's more frustrating than anything to him that he can't "just be normal" again.

Sorry, no new photos this week, but I'm sure I'll have something soon.

Love Ya!
