Grandma Time...
When I saw this photo on Tawni's blog, I was amazed. Sharyl is so beautiful and always looks so young that when I saw myself in the picture I was shocked! Being a Grandma has actually made me younger! I found the fountain-of-youth, and her name is Stella. She gives me so much strength and purpose.
Lots of things happening right now. I have a 2nd second job, yes, that's right, a total of 3 jobs now. Besides my full time job at Sylarus Technologies and a part-time gig I've had since last fall at Kays Jewelers in the Mall, I'm now working at the Summit Fitness Club in the Membership Office. It's a lot of fun and I get to hang out with the nicest people. The best part is that I'm usually off at 8:00 at night so I workout after I'm done. It's been working out great!
My townhouse deal is off. It's really quite a long story, but in the end it was a choice I made that took quite a load off. The builder kept changing the floor plans which really pissed me off and then I started having anxiety attacks worrying about making a mortgage payment until I'm near 80 years old! Anyway, it all worked out as it allowed me to find another place that I'll be renting in Coral Canyon where Jason, Tawni and Stella live!
It's a beautiful home with a backyard, garage and views that are breathtaking. I'm just in the process of being approved so I'll know for sure in a few days.
Jody Hill just called me and has offered to come down and help us move! Kevin her husband, may come down and help which will be so great. She hasn't seen Stella yet so I'm really excited for them to meet!
Stella is going to be blessed on Mothers Day, how special is that! Last year was the first Mothers Day with both of my sons and daughter-in-law and this year we now add Stella. It will also be her 4-month birthday which is mind-blowing. After church a ton of people will be headed to Dave and Sharyls for a get together and a celebration of Mothers, Daughters, and Granddaughters!
Anyway, that's about it for now. There's always something going on! Happy Mothers Day to all of you Mothers! Hugs and Kisses!

Tawni's Grandma Olson and her uncle Chad came down from Salt Lake and we all got together for dinner. After, Jason, Tawni, Jeri and I took Stella and Brody for a walk. We ended up on the golf course watching Brody chase rabbits and taking photos of flowers. It was a beautiful evening! Cort and Theresa went camping for the weekend. The temps are in the 80's now and are wonderful!

Girls Weekend
What a wonderful weekend I had. Jason and Tawni went to Salt Lake overnite to watch the Jazz vs Rockets playoff game. He got courtside tickets from one of his customers that have a 2nd home in St George. Anyway, I stayed at their house with Stella for the weekend. It was simply wonderful! She has started smiling and cooing and is so beautiful. We cuddled, snuggled, and slept together. She started in her crib but after her 4:00 a.m. feeding, I took her to bed with me and she slept on my chest for the next 5 hours.
This morning she woke up and was so cute. Kathy and Vicki came to see and hold her and Sharyl came over Saturday night and we loaded Stella up in the car and went for a burger. It was a fun girls weekend. This was all in all one of the most fabuluous weekend of my life. Lots of bonding time and time to really see Stella in every way!

Back in the Day....
Today I was invited to lunch at Craig and Mei Pozek's house. Mei was making Asian spring rolls for me as I miss Dim Sum in Boston so much! They were delicious! Anyway, Mei and Craig live in Laverkin, Utah about 30 minutes from St. George. Laverkin is the gateway to Zions National Park. Because I left early to go to their house (I'm weird that way), I decided to take a morning drive up to the park. About 15 minutes up the highway towards Zion, is this old western trading post in Virgin, Utah. Usually I just drive by the place but this morning I thought I would stop and check it out. When I stepped into the gift shop I was transported back in time! Of course the place is FILLED with cowboy and Navajo Indian collectibles, but one section was all John Wayne memorabilia! Another section was all polished rocks and geode's. Southern Utah has so much western history. I always took it for granted when I lived here before, in fact, it always seemed a little cheesy. Now, even though still cheesy, LOL, it still a part of history and I'm glad I get to see it again.
It was fun finding this slideshow that plays it in black and white! Enjoy!

Sylarus Plant Party!
One of my tasks at work this week was to furnish the lobby. I bought furniture for the office assistant and went plant shopping. Sylarus is one of Jason customers for doing the outside maintenance so I asked if he would come and tranplant all of the greenery into containers that I had purchased. Tawni's mom Sharyl LOVES to get her hands dirty in the soil so Jason recruited the whole family to come and help. Cort works with Jason so he was also there and Theresa, Cortney's friend works with me at Sylarus so she and her dog Lucy joined the fray. It was a fun family event!

Sunday Dinner

It doesn't get much better than this. Spending Sunday afternoon with Jason, Tawni, Stella, Cortney and Theresa. Jason and Cort put together some fans that are being installed in my Townhouse. I bought them from where the boys work and SAVED hundreds of dollars, but they needed to be put together. The electrians will install them for me which is awesome. So, while the boys worked on the fans, the girls hug out. Stella was a cute as ever. I made a ginormous pan of Lasagne (gluten-free no less) that was "the bomb" according to the kids. For dessert, I made what has always been a favorite of Jason and Cortney, a Cherry Chip cake with Sour Cream frosting. We took a ride up the street so the kids could see how far along the townhouse is. Brody, J & T's black lab, loves running around through the empty condos looking for tennis balls that have bounced out of the tennis courts that are beind my unit.

The temps got up into the 80's today and I actually had to turn on the AC. This morning I went on a 4 mile walk around the neighorhood. It was a georgeous day.

Tomorrow I'm back to the craziness at work. Yesterday I shopped the nurseries to find some oversized palms to put in our lobby as well as some other plants for the reception area. I'm interviewing for the Office Assistant, although Olivia did contact me and said she wants the job! Sadly, a virtual office assistant won't cut it.
Have a great week!

Safety First!

Stella and Tawni came to Sylarus to visit. If you look closely you'll see Stella is wearing her Safety Glasses before entering the Production area!
Man, do I look proud or WHAT!

Stella and Her Uncle Cortney (Theresa & La La too)!
Cort finally had his day with Stella. He got up the nerve to hold her today while I had my second opportunity to babysit! He was so adorable with her, commenting on how soft her feet were, how full her cheeks are, and then he said very softly "she is so beautiful". It was very special to see them together. Cort's friend Theresa also got to hold Stella and almost couldn't put her down. They were supposed to go fishing or shooting or something of that sort today and Cort had to practically drag her away.
Stella is just over 6 lbs now so seems more like a real baby to us. She doesn't cry to-to much, but she does have a temper! She's fairly tolerant of all of us poking and prodding her, but when she's had enough, she will tell you in no uncertain terms.
Watch for a new and improved version of my Blog as Jessica, who taught me how to do mine in the first place whats to try some new fun stuff.
Have a great week everyone!
Love To All!
